Welcome to Paywise. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Paywise mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you disagree with any part of these Terms, then you may not access the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.
2. Description of Services
Paywise provides a digital payment platform that enables users to:
- Send and receive money electronically
- Make payments without ATM cards or smartphones
- Access financial services through our agent network
- Fund and withdraw from digital wallets
- Pay bills and make purchases
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
- Use a strong and unique password
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Log out from your account at the end of each session
3.3 Account Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
4. Fees and Payments

You may fund your Paywise wallet through various methods including bank transfers, card payments, or through our agent network. All payments are subject to verification and approval.
4.3 Refunds
Refunds will be processed in accordance with our refund policy. Please note that certain fees may be non-refundable.
5. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal or fraudulent activities
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon the rights of others
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Service
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Engage in money laundering or terrorist financing

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Paywise, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service
- Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
- Any content obtained from the Service
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
8. Termination
8.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, you will no longer be able to access your account or use the Service.
8.2 Termination by Us
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
8.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
9.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
9.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiations between the parties. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act of Nigeria.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.
What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
